By Bus
From Lhasa: There are several buses to Bayi from Lhasa east suburb bus station each day. Along the way from Lhasa to Bayi, you will enjoy the picturesque Nyang River and Snow-capped mountains en route.

From Yunnan and Sichuan: There are several direct buses running from Chengdu or Yunnan to Lhasa via Bayi. But we don't suggest you to take this kind of buses, as the roads are always with mud avalanches and landslides, big buses are not safe and comfortable. Normally tourists rent a 4WD or jeep to make this trip.
